Graphs
Once all of your experiment trials are complete and your tables are filled with results, you are ready to make some visual summaries of your results in the form of graphs. Graphs can take many forms, but some types will work better for your data than others. Depending on what you are measuring, there may be one type that will show your information best.
YOUR GRAPHS SHOULD HELP THE JUDGES EVALUATE TRENDS IN YOUR RESULTS
Line Graphs - Compare how something changes over time or over distance
Bar Graphs - Compare the differences among similar things
Circle Graphs - Compare the parts of a whole group (think of a pie)
No matter what kind of graph you choose, it must be organized and present your data in a clear and concise way. Your graph should provide an at-a-glance summary of your table, making it easier to draw conclusions about your results.
If you have questions about what type of graph is right for your data, ask for help!
