Step-by-Step Experiment Procedure

BEFORE YOU BEGIN TESTING:

1. Review the IJAS requirements 
2.  All experiments need teacher approval before the first trial begins.
3.  Parent Safety and Supervision Sheet BEFORE TESTING BEGINS
4.  Adult Supervision is REQUIRED for EACH experiment trial 

STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE

1. Write a Chronological Step-by-Step Procedure (like a recipe for cooking)
2. Use METRIC (SI) units for measurement
3. MAKE TABLES BEFORE TRIAL #1 to record all data:
   • Quantitative experiment results (measurements)  in a TABLE format
   • Qualitative observations (no numbers) in a table format – if applicable
4. Record any errors during the experiment (Errors are part of learning!)
5.  Review your Experiment Procedure and Use the Experiment Checklist to CHECK OFF the items that have been completed.
