Collecting Data

Scientists use tables to record data from experiment trials in an organized way. 

Once you have written your experiment procedure, you will have all the information you need to design and prepare your tables. Use the following questions to design the table of results:

1)  What are the controls and variables?

2)  What are the measurements (SI - metric units)?

3)  How often will measurements be taken?

4)  How many trials will be needed? 

DESIGN THE EXPERIMENT TABLE  BEFORE THE FIRST TRIAL!

 Remember to be very careful recording the data from your trials...simple mistakes can affect your accuracy!
